Oxidation is the natural process that occurs during decomposition. Our bodies cells are constantly dying off and replenishing themselves. As a cell dies hazardous tiny particles called free radicals are released in the body. These free radicals cause massive damage to DNA resulting in cancer as we discovered earlier in Episode #002.
Though the release of free radicals is a fairly normal process of the body more excess free radicals can be generated from outside stimuli.
For instance; cigarette smoke is a major free radical generator. Cigarette smoke particles create reactive bonds to living cells causing the cell's premature death and the release of many more free radicals.
Free radicals themselves also contribute to the oxidization of the molecules in the body. If a free radical oxidizes a fatty acid that fatty acid is then turned into a free radical causing a chain reaction to continue.
Free radicals are molecules that have unbalanced energy levels and require a stationary molecule to balance out their equation. In the case of a living cell the cell is then broken up and DNA damage can then occur.
Antioxidants fill that role. An antioxidant is of a certain molecular structure that satisfies the unbalanced free radical preventing the bond of the free radical to an adjacent cell.
Without the presence of antioxidants free radicals will fill their unbalanced energy level by stealing off a portion of an adjacent cell, thus damaging DNA.
Antioxidants are the major factor that put a stop to this process and are thus a major component in curing and preventing cancer.
Antioxidants are produced by our bodies naturally and are also found in many hearty foods. Mainly foundational vegetables and fruits.
By providing the body with plenty of antioxidants, all free radical activity can be superseded preventing cell damage and DNA damage, thus allowing the body to focus on healing itself instead of playing catch up.
It's all about having more antioxidants than free radical activity. You can control two factors in that equation: 1. reduce the occurrence of free radical production from outside irritants such as cigarette smoke and preservatives and/or 2. increase the antioxidant rich foods we eat.
So the truth is that curing cancer comes down to reducing the presence of free radicals and increasing antioxidants.
And in order to limit the prisons of free radicals one of the first places we must look to reduce is stress. Stress releases potentially toxic hormones that bind up antioxidants and massively surge premature cell destruction and release of high potency of free radicals.

Homework Assignment #3 - Think and Write about how you think you would feel if you ate 3 cups of blueberries and drank a half of a gallon of water. What would you feel? What changes would occur short term?
Extra Credit Assignment (Do this if you have stage 4 right now) - Go out and buy 3 cups of blueberries (preferably organic). Eat the 3 cups of blueberries - this saturates your body with antioxidants and drink a half a gallon of water - drinking this amount of water will lower your acid levels in your blood allowing the antioxidants to be activated to their highest extent. Document how you feel over the next 30 mins to an hour.
